In short, my perspective is that of a Tennessee gourmand filtered through the lens of Chicago while sitting among the dunes of Michigan's harbor coast.
A bit longer? My love of food was born on the Formica counter of my grandmother's kitchen in the rolling hills of the Volunteer State. There, I absorbed the lively intersection of cooking, eating, community, and history. My curiosity and love of storytelling took me north to Chicago, where I majored in communications and dabbled in the comedy scene. I then spent a decade honing my food knowledge further in some of the city's most beloved dining rooms before making the leap to content marketing, where I've furthered my love of writing. I now live on the third coast, aka Western Michigan, an overlooked culinary region with its own unique flavors that I hungrily explore.
